Mission
Our Union River believes the river can strengthen and enhance our region’s future. With a nod to Ellsworth's history, we work to engage the local community by promoting a healthy waterway, protecting and improving public access, and returning the Union River to a force that drives the local economy and culture.
Union River Access Survey
In 2018, the Our Union River Committee asked citizens to complete a survey on their use of the river and their vision for its future. The results of that survey contributed substantially to the Water chapter of the Green Plan. If you would still like to contribute, we welcome your input.

Union River Festival
The Our Union River Committee organized the first Union River Festival on May 5, 2018 at Ellsworth Harbor Park.
The community event celebrated the river with live music, free smoked fish, local organizations, and a guided paddle of the river.
